What is ANC Trading Community?

ANC Trading Community is a research and discussion platform for retail traders. It brings together market data and calculators, independent research on brokers and proprietary trading firms, user reviews, a discussion forum, in-person events and a daily blog. The aim is to put the boring-but-decisive details — spreads, swaps, regulation, withdrawal terms — in one place so you can compare them properly instead of trusting a landing page.

Does it cost anything?

Accepted Answer

No. The market data, broker and prop-firm research, reviews, forum and blog are all free to use, and you do not need an account to read any of it. The only things we charge for are ticketed events such as bootcamps, which are priced individually on the event page.

Is any of this financial advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything published here is general information and education. It takes no account of your objectives, your financial situation or your risk tolerance, so it is not a personal recommendation and you should not treat it as one. Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of losing money rapidly, and you should take independent advice if you are unsure.

Do you hold client money or place trades?

Never. We are not a broker, we are not a fund manager, and we do not accept deposits, hold client money or execute orders. When you open an account you deal directly with that broker or prop firm, under their regulator, and your money never passes through us.

Who writes the content?

Accepted Answer

Research and reviews are written by the ANC Trading team. Forum discussions and user reviews are written by community members and reflect their own experience, not our view. Anything sponsored is labelled as sponsored.

How do you assess a broker?

We look at the things that decide what trading actually costs you and whether you can get your money back out: which regulators license the entity you would be onboarded to, the spread and commission model, overnight swap rates, minimum deposit, available platforms, and the practical experience of funding and withdrawing. Where a figure is indicative rather than live, the page says so.

Do you earn money from the brokers you list?

Yes, and you should assume so. Many outbound links to brokers and prop firms are referral links carrying a tracking parameter, and we may be paid if you open an account through one. Those links are marked as sponsored in the page markup. This is how the free research is funded.

Question 8

Does paying you buy a better rating?

Accepted Answer

No. Commercial relationships do not change a rating, a ranking or what a review says, and a firm cannot pay to have criticism removed. Firms we earn nothing from are listed on exactly the same terms as firms we do. If you ever see something that looks like it contradicts this, report it and we will publish a correction.

The details on a broker page are out of date. What do I do?

Tell us and we will fix it. Broker terms change often and without notice, so corrections from people who actually hold an account are the fastest way we find out. Use the Report a Bug form for anything factually wrong on a page, and include a link to the source if you have one.

Are the spreads and fees shown live?

Accepted Answer

No. Cost figures are indicative and are there for comparison between firms, not for execution. Real spreads move with liquidity, widen around news and differ by account type, so always confirm the current terms with the provider before you commit money.

Can I submit my own review?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once you have a community account. Reviews are moderated for spam and abuse rather than for sentiment, so a negative review that describes a real experience will be published. Reviews that cannot be tied to a genuine account with the firm may be removed.

Where does the market data come from?

Accepted Answer

Prices, charts and the economic calendar come from third-party market data providers and embedded TradingView widgets. Some panels are seeded with clearly-labelled sample data while the live feed for that section is being connected — where that is the case you will see a sample-data badge on the panel itself.

Why do your prices differ from my broker?

Accepted Answer

Because there is no single price for a currency pair. Every broker quotes off its own liquidity providers and adds its own spread, so quotes legitimately differ between venues and will differ from an aggregated reference feed. Use our numbers to compare and orient yourself, and your platform for anything you are about to trade.

What timezone is the site in?

Market sessions and the economic calendar are shown in UTC unless a panel states otherwise, because UTC is the one reference that does not shift underneath you when daylight saving changes in different regions on different dates.

Can I use your data or charts on my own site?

Accepted Answer

Not without permission. Much of the underlying data is licensed from third parties and we cannot pass those rights on. If you want to reference something, link to the page rather than copying the figures, or get in touch to ask.

Do I need an account?

Only to take part. Reading the forum, the research, the reviews and the blog needs no account at all. You need one to post, reply, leave a review or save anything, and creating one is free.

What are the community rules?

Three that matter: no signal selling, account management offers or referral spam; no personal attacks; and disclose any commercial relationship you have with something you are recommending. Disagreeing sharply about markets is fine and welcome. Recruiting people into your funnel is not.

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Email us from the address on the account and we will delete it along with the personal data attached to it. Posts you have made in public discussions may be retained in anonymised form so that conversations other people took part in do not fall apart, unless you specifically ask for them to be removed as well.

How do I stop the newsletter?

Accepted Answer

Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link in the footer and it takes effect immediately. If one is not getting through to you, email us and we will remove the address by hand.

How do I book a place?

Accepted Answer

Each event has its own page with the venue, what is included and the ticket price, and booking opens from there. Where dates are still being confirmed the page says so rather than showing a placeholder date, and no tickets are sold until they are fixed.

What is included in the ticket price?

Accepted Answer

It varies by event and the event page is the authority. As a rule the ticket covers the sessions themselves and materials; travel and accommodation are yours to arrange unless the page explicitly says otherwise.

Can I get a refund or transfer my place?

Accepted Answer

Places can normally be transferred to someone else at no cost up to the day before the event. Refunds depend on how close to the date you cancel and on commitments already made to the venue, so contact us as early as you can and we will tell you where you stand.
